Chapter # 1

The October moon hung in the gray sky, casting an iridescent glow across the mansion. The shutters hung loosely next to the windows, swaying back and forth in the crisp night wind. A bitter aroma cascaded down the front steps to the sidewalk where Trisha Maitland stood, and her hands cupped over her mouth to filter the putrid odor.

Chapter # 2

Charles gloated over the manipulation he used on Gordon. How he relished the power he held over the others, a dictatorial power which was passed down to him centuries ago by his ancestors. Unknown to his colleagues, this power had arisen out of a pact that had been nurtured carefully over the decades.

Pastor Thomas suddenly became somber and spoke once again. “Brian, I’m so humbled by God allowing us to experience His tangible Presence. The God of the Universe has chosen to reveal Himself to us.
